FRQNT Strategic cluster grant renewal
Following the submission of our application for renewal of the strategic cluster grant to the FRQNT, and the meeting with the visiting committee, we are now waiting for the final decision from Fond de recherche Québec which we should receive by the end of the month of April. Meanwhile we continue on with our various activities with increasing motivation. We will continue to promote our members by highlighting their respective research by publishing their profile, right here in this monthly newsletter.

4th edition of the ReSMiQ Innovation day (RID2015)
Following the success of the RID2014 (see Signal Vol.6 no.4) we are preparing the next edition which will be held on September 17th. Participants will attend the keynote speeches, discussion panel and numerous presentations by representatives from academia and industry. A special session is dedicated to the presentation of undergraduate and graduate student projects where they will demonstrate their scientific and technical expertise during a competition where each presenter will display their project via a technical demonstration, a live experiment. Prizes will be awarded to the best presentations. The project application deadline is April 17, 2015. Visit resmiq.org to see all the details. We are counting on all members to encourage their students in participating.

Annual symposium and scientific poster competition
The scientific poster competition for graduate students, organized for the 6th year, attracted a record number of proposals. The selected posters will be presented at our annual symposium in the 83rd Conference of ACFAS to be held in Rimouski. Please note that the date has been changed and that the symposium will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015.
