November 2017 edition – Vol.9 no.9

EDITORIAL

We are proud to announce that the 16th edition of the international IEEE-NEWCAS conference, in accordance with the principle of alternating host countries, will be held in Canada. For 2018, Montreal will be the host city after the city of Strasbourg in 2017. It is Professor M. Boukadoum from UQAM, a long-standing member of ReSMiQ, who chairs the organization. The call for papers has been distributed and the deadline for submissions is February 17, 2018. The ReSMiQ Executive Committee encourages all Center members to participate in large numbers.

Concerning the mid-term evaluation of ReSMiQ, we are currently actively preparing for thisevaluation of our center by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologies (FRQNT), a crucial step in our Strategic Cluster Grant. We are presently producing the report that will be followed by the visit of the FRQNT evaluation committee during the fall of 2018.

ReSMiQ is a group of researchers in an interuniversity research center that can count on the support of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologies (FRQNT) and nine (9) Quebec universities involved in microsystems research.
